Company History
The Reward Partnership was created in January 2003 when Nick Galton and Mark Fry decided that they, together with their colleagues Lisa Ruff and Michelle Buckley, could create a strong team with fantastic expertise in their niche market.
The start-up of any new business is always full of excitement and adventure, but also worry and trepidation, and The Reward Partnership was no different. However, we were lucky enough to have the support of a small number of customers who supported us from the very beginning and we owe a lot of thanks to them for that support and their continued loyalty.
After recruiting an Office Manager to keep us organised
and in-touch with each other (thanks Nicola) we then
spent the first two years working from Beaufort Road,
using office space that we created out of former bedrooms and lounges.
We then recruited another consultant (John Kirkwood) and quickly realised
that we had out-grown Beaufort Road and so we purchased a commercial property
in The Mews, Twickenham where we now work from. Mark has office premises
close to his home in Essex and spends most of his time working from there.
This provides us with easy access to Central London from either location
as well as to the south coast, the West of England, East Anglia and the
Midlands. Nick also spends some time working from his home in Sheffield
and is therefore ideally located for any projects that are based in the
North. To complete the people story, our most recent recruitment occurred
in October 2006 when Robyn Coles joined us (and Nicola moved on).
The business can now cite experience of working with
over a hundred customers, some of whom we support
on an annual basis and others for which we have undertaken
one-off consultancy projects. Our customers range from central government
agencies and non-departmental public bodies to local authorities, housing
associations and private sector organisations.
The founding partners of The Reward Partnership decided to incorporate the business in April 2006 and all four initial members are now employed as Directors of The Reward Partnership Ltd, but we all maintain full time consultancy roles. Our intention is to ensure that the company has a long term vision whilst retaining its in-house expertise, which we maintain through hands-on consulting.
There are now six members of the company and we believe it is the variety of skills and experience within the team that sets us apart from other consultancies. For more detail on the individuals within our organisation, please visit the consultant biographies section. Furthermore, the size of our team ensures that our customers get to meet the consultants who will be dealing with their project right at the outset and that this relationship continues all the way until the project is completed. This ensures efficiency of project delivery and consistency of standards.
