Global Pay Benchmarking
A surprising number of our customers have operations abroad (from Ireland to Australia) and it is a real challenge for them to identify what the current rate of pay should be for their senior jobs, especially when they are filled with local people. To identify robust answers to these questions, we typically:
- Use our international contacts to buy in reputable pay surveys for the countries concerned.
- Use global pay databases to check (and cross check) the profiled roles in order to establish the relativities between countries
- Research a range of economic indicators from each country – such as inflation rates, cost of living, wage increases, etc.
- Set all of this data in to context and produce pragmatic recommendations.
Our research is heavily influenced by the organisation’s situation
(e.g. turnover, number of employees, market sector, etc.) and it is vitally
important to ensure that only valid and relevant data is collected – and
this generally proves extremely useful when discussing pay with the individual
concerned e.g. it enables a discussion to occur, based on accurate information.
